Amy Perich
Amy should have known that she was destined for a career in graphic design when, as a child in Allentown PA, she started collecting paint swatches from the hardware store and tried to make her handwriting look like different type fonts. After graduating Magna Cum Laude from American University in 2000 with a degree in Public Communication focusing on graphic design, Amy stayed in DC, and worked in both agency and in-house creative departments.
In 2005, Amy and her husband Tom moved to Charlottesville, VA, where she worked at Payne, Ross & Associates as an art director. During her two years at Payne Ross, she worked with the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation, SMG and John Paul Jones Arena, the University of Virginia, and Meridian Air Group.
“I’ve spent most of my adult life in DC and Virginia, so I am excited to be back in the Northeast,” says Amy. “I’m also excited to be a little more settled down. Tom and I just bought a house, and between painting and looking for furniture I never lack things to do.”
With what little free time remains, Amy enjoys getting together with family and friends, taking road trips, reading, hiking, and traveling. She views the book 1,000 Places to See Before You Die as something of a roadmap for life’s adventures.
